Lubok Antu District Council is headed by a chairman, assisted by a vice chairman and 24 council members appointed by the Yang Dipertua Negeri Sarawak under section 12, Local Authorities Ordinance,1996. They are responsible for establishing the policies of the Council and for decision making.

There are five committees and a board to ensure the tasks of the councils are carried out smoothly.

These committees and board are:

i.	Committee of Finance and Positioning;
ii.	Comittee of Town and Environmental Beautifications;
iii.	Committee of Public Health and Licensing;
iv.	Committee of Land & Survey and Tourism;
v.	Committee of Quotations and Tender;
vi.	Board of Interviews and Selections.

Ordinary council meetings are organised from time to time on stated time and date in not less than four times per year. The chairman can also call a special meeting at any time with an attendance of not less than 1/3 of the council members to discuss certain issues.

The administration of the council is headed by the Secretary. The Secretary is responsible for providing advices and enforcing policies and orders from the Local Authorities. He is assisted by 47 members of the council supporting groups.
