HISTORY
|
The Lubok Antu District Council is a local government organisation
formed under the State Govenment's Local Authorities Ordinance,
1956. The council has the right to implement council by-laws from
enactments and ordinanace as approved by the State Government
which, includes taxation, rentals and finance autonomy.

letters "M.D.L.A" is a short form of the
Lubok Antu District Council's name. |

The
Circle of Rice signifies the main crop in this district
and also the staple food of the people of this district. |

The
symbol at the bottom of the logo represents all
the people under the jurisdiction of the coucil
are always of high praise and loyal to the Perlembagaan
Negara. |

Represents
"Gunung Tiang Laju", the highest mountain
in the district of Lubok Antu. |

Represents
the "Batang Ai Hidroelectric Dam", the
first Hidro Project in Sarawak which is also a main
tourist attraction in the district. |

Represents
the "Ikan Semah", the most expensive fish
and can be found abundantly in the Batang Lupar
river - the longest river in the Sri Aman district. |
